Psychologist Dr.
Anders Ericsson has found out that, no matter the field of expertise, when it
comes to elite performance there is no correlation whatsoever between time in
the profession and performance levels. Most professionals progress until they
reach an "acceptable" level and then they plateau. Most peak
somewhere around five years after entering the workforce. Further improvements
are not correlated to years in the field.
The implications are stunning. What it means is that many, if not most, professionals are suffering from what Ericsson calls "arrested development". Not a very flattering term is it?
When someone does
rise to the top it's not merely because they put in the time; it is much more
about HOW they used the time. It's the skill building and deliberate practice
that they engage in that makes the difference. And that is what they get from
their coaches and their peer group.
As a Tenant Rep, the
biggest challenge is how to learn the best skills and practices from other
successful tenant reps. That is why my small group coaching sessions for veteran
tenant reps has accomplished so much in past few months--including improving
new business initiation techniques, honing marketing messages and branding,
developing lead conversion tools, and more.

The cost is nominal
at $100 per month for two sessions. Each session will last 50 min. There
is a 3 month commitment and continued participation at will.
The twice monthly
sessions will be via a Webinar type conference call and will be recorded for
your future use. The recordings will be for the exclusive use of the group
members and not made public or available to others.
We use a Yahoo Group
to promote and facilitate inter-session communications between the group
members to ask for and offer helpful ideas, techniques, resources, tools, etc.
Participants are encouraged to e-mail specific questions that they would like
to have answered and to request additional exploration of topics that pertain
to the subject.
When we work
together, you learn from others and you tap into my 17 years of experience as a
downtown San Francisco commercial broker, including 10 years as a commercial
brokerage owner with two offices and over 25 successful agents, plus 11 years
as a commercial real estate trainer.
The benefits of group
coaching include lower cost per participant and the synergy of learning the
best practices from others.
The minimum number to
start a group is 5 and the maximum number is 12 to ensure close attention to
